Finance on return to NZ?
Question from Daniel updated on 4th September 2014:
Hi there, my partner and I have been living in Australia for the last 10 months and we are coming back to Auckland to live. We will be looking at getting an investment property. It will also be our first property. How long will we have to be at our jobs when we get back before the banks will look at us for finance?
Our expert Kris Pedersen responded:

Hi Daniel, many jobs may have a three month probationary period and in this case banks will not fund until this period has finished. If there is no probationary period then you can generally obtain funding after you have received your first pay. Regards Kris Pedersen
