Wall surface problems
Question from Rachel updated on 6th October 2017:
Stickers were placed on the wallpaper in the house we are renting and have left unremoveable marks on about three strips of wallpaper. To start with the wallpaper was quite old and had wear and tear marks. We wouldn't be able to source the same wallpaper given its age. Will we need to pay for the whole room to be stripped and repainted?

It depends on what was in your tenancy agreement. Some agreements prevent tenants from sticking posters on walls. This is even more important if the wall surfaces are wallpaper rather than paint.
I suggest you speak with your landlord about their expectations. If it was expected that you would not place stickers on the wall, the landlord may ask you to have the wall repainted. This really needs to be sorted out by agreement between you and your landlord.
